Overview

This policy has been devised to keep you the client, your other suppliers, on site staff and our team as safe as possible and should be read in conjunction with my current Terms & Conditions.

As a duty of care To keep you, my lovely clients as safe as possible we have some saftey guide lines for you to be aware of. 

As professional make up & hairstylists our team understand the importance of having the highest levels of hygiene and safety.
My team and I have some members of family/friends who are high risk. Please be aware I/We live with and have family members that have a reduced immune system so we will continue to follow government guidelines and actions to ensure your & their safety.


We have made a number of changes in the way that we operate our appointments (weddings, trials or occasion ) that you will notice when you next visit my/our studios or I/we visit your home or venue.

Health & Safety Risk Assessment

In most cases the risks and hazards that we experience as individuals and as a team are rare and unlikely however we will always try our best to be careful, cautious, pro active and reactive if such an accident should occur. In particular we establish any key health conditions, disabilities, allergies prior to any event or application through questions consultations and bridal forms. We keep all of our products, tools, appliances in clean hygienic safe working condition.

Hair styling using heated appliances, injury burns or damage (studio or out of studio ) Not likely - possible Mild - serious All Allocate ample time for hairstyling to ensure care an be taken while styling hair and always ensuring application is on the heat protected hair and not to touch the skin, head or ears, ensure heated appliances are pat tested as duty of care and appliances are placed on heat protective sleeve, stand or Matt to protect surfaces, always ensure they are turned off when not in use.
  1. If I/or any of my team feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I / they will follow the latest government guidelines.  This​ may mean that I/we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. This may mean that we are required to self isolate immediately.  I appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own and our safety.
  2. If your trial appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again or in the case of being your wedding day I/we will try to source another team member in line with my T & Cs 19.a
  3. If you or any of the people you live or anyone in your wedding party or anyone they live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – or have being told to isolate, please advise me/us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO MY/OUR STUDIO FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
  4. if I/we were due to your home/venue location please also inform me/we as soon as possible as I/we will not be able to visit you. 
  5. if required you may have your temperature taken by us using a non contact digital thermometer, anyone displaying a temperature of 38 degrees or higher will be asked to re schedule their appointment.
  6. Visiting our home studio for pre wedding trials/special occasion bookings -  We politely ask if clients wear a face covering to appointments (unless you are exempt) until you are seated, where possible when you have your temperature taken, please ensure you are wearing your mask upon entry to my home/me/my colleagues meeting you, your face covering will need to be worn at all times apart from when we are directly applying your makeup.
  7. If applying makeup obviously you will need to remove your facemask for the time it takes for face makeup to be applied.
  8. Most of our team will still be using personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment.
  9. Please do not arrive early or late for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just arriving/leaving.
  10. We have increased the frequency of cleaning in our studios including making sure that common areas & surfaces, toilets door handles, toilet, bathroom are cleaned using disinfectant products between each client as well as steam cleaning carpets & seating.
  11. All makeup products, makeup/hair tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety between each & every client.
  12. Wherever possible We will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection. You will have access to soap and hot water to wash your hands with as soon as you enter our studios will also have hand sanitiser available for you to use.
  13. Disposable towels will be available to you to dry your hands. We understand the importance of hand hygiene and will ensure that We wash our hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before the start of your booking & at frequent intervals throughout.
  14. I/we will try to make your experience as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
  15. If you have any concerns about your booking please let us know and we will do what we can for you.
  16. Please note that due to these extra hygiene measures your appointment/booking will take a little longer than usual.

  18. All appointments are preferably one on one With only two of us in the room it cuts down risk of spread, rather than a busy salon environment

  20. Our studio/s are an enclosed space where social distancing is not always possible.
  21. The studio will be sanitised and cleansed inbetween each client
  22. The law says employers must make sure there’s an adequate supply of fresh air (ventilation) in enclosed areas of the workplace. This has not changed during the pandemic. Where possible we will ensure we have as much Ventilation as possible Someone who has coronavirus breathes out small particles (aerosols) of the virus. Adequate ventilation reduces how much virus is in the air, so it reduces the risk of breathing in the virus.

  25. .Majority of our team have had their covid19 vaccine and will be happy to share our NHS covid vaccine pass if required

  28. we will understand and not be offended if you wish to wear a facemask or wear disposable gloves during my visit/during your treatment when this is appropriate.
  29. When applying makeup obviously you will need to remove your facemask for the time it takes for face makeup to be applied.
  30. Please don’t be surprised or upset to see that We will be using personal protective equipment (PPE) during my visit and during your treatment. This will include face shields / facemasks / disposable aprons / disposable gloves where appropriate.
  31. All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client.
  32. we will try to make your experience as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your booking, please let me know and I will do what I can to satisfy you. Please note that due to these extra hygiene measures your appointment/booking will take a little longer than usual.
  33. In order to avoid handling of cash, We would prefer if you could pay for your treatment in advance using bank transfers. Receipts will be emailed to you.
  34. All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend as necessary keeping you informed at all times.
