Contact

2a. Due to the private nature of our business, our contract and communication is solely with you, the bride, regardless of who is paying our fee or any third parties (Groom, Parents & wedding planner, etc) acting on your behalf. We will only discuss the details of the booking with the bride. (we want to have a mutual agreement with you as the bride for key decisions/choices.)

2b. The bride is responsible for all payments, not individuals within the bridal party or other third parties. After any verbal discussions, these will be confirmed via e-mail to avoid any misunderstanding.

2c. It is the responsibility of the client to understand, agree, and be held responsible for all booking conditions including active communication, payment, and notification of cancellation and understanding of the consequences of not adhering to these terms and conditions.

COMMUNICATION

3a. We the artists personally answer all our own enquires and communications ourselves, to help with this we include a lot of upfront information on my website through FAQ information our emails, this T & Cs and bridal forms, this to help guild you through the process and hopefully answer your questions and clearly state our policies, business practices, booking system, and to be upfront with all of the costings.

3b. For your reference the most efficient way to discuss all the important elements of your booking is via our email thread, due to the high volume of messages we receive across multiple media channels. Although we love to connect with you on social media and share images via these platforms Messages we can get confused or missed if across social media, WhatsApp, phone, text, therefore we politely ask you to ensure that any correspondents relating to your booking be sent via email, to reduce the risk of missing important information.

3c. Please note that like many creatives myself and several members of the team have dyslexia please be understanding and respectful of our disability we may not answer you straight away and prefer to answer all important emails from clients when we have the time to focus to avoid mistakes.

3d. Please note when we are doing makeup & hair appointments our time and focus is solely on our clients in the chair and there is no time to answer phone calls or reply to messages therefore we like to inform you in advance that we can take up to seven days to respond to a message, but if we have missed an email message just give us a nudge, we're only human.

3e. We aim to get back to you within seven days of your email but during our busy peak times, there may be a delay in replying to you.

PAYMENTS

4a. Acceptable forms of payment are bank transfer, cash, or PayPal.

  • Payments can be made by cash but must be paid in full before any services are received or performed.
  • Payments by an electronic bank must be cleared, in full, before any services are received or performed. The final payment must have been received at least 14 days before the booked wedding date.
  • Payments made by PayPal are subject to an administration fee. The final payment must have been received at least 14 days before the booked wedding date.

4b. The final invoice with details of services booked and balances due will be emailed to you, along with the suggested schedule for the day after your trial appointment before your wedding date.

4c. No BACs or PayPal payments will be accepted on the wedding/event day. If you are receiving payments from third parties who wish to contribute, this should be managed amongst yourselves before the wedding day.

4d. Our services will not begin until full payment has been received, so please have this ready upon arrival. If you are paying cash, this is to be in a sealed envelope and to be given to the lead artist, to avoid slowing down the morning's schedule or cause any embarrassment.

4e. The total balance is payable by you, the client, alone upon our arrival on the wedding morning and any discussion or communication about this amount or payment should be done in writing via email prior to the day / event. our prices are non negotiable and we will not discuss the balance or payments with you or any third parties on the wedding morning.

4g. We politely request that we do not wish to receive any forward payments before your final invoice has worked out and been sent to you after your trial appointment. Any payments made before the balance is requested will be non-refundable and non-transferable. The only funds we request ahead of service is your deposit (a small fee to hold your date and cover our time at your trial). At this point, (your trial time), exact numbers and services are finalised and then a plan for the morning is created with any additional travel costs which will be clearly broken down and included on your invoice. It also makes it more difficult for us to track payments and can cause confusion if they are not requested, required, or made too far in advance of the invoice.

4h. BALANCE SCHEDULE - Your non refundable/Non Transferable Deposit is required in advance to trial appointment as confirmation of your booking. 50% of your chosen package will be requested after your trial appointment is completed(minus your deposit and payment to be received within 48hrs after this request if not paid via cash at the time of your trial). 5b. 1hour and 30 minutes of travel time is included within each package. (45 minutes there 45 minutes back )  We are happy to travel to any destination however, any additional travel time will incur a fee at a rate of £25 per additional hour and potentially £12.50 per additional 30 minutes.

5c. Each of our bridal packages includes travel to one preparation location venue, hotel, or home. Should we need to relocate to new locations, you will be charged for the additional mileage and travel time. Please note each location change is subject to a £25 relocation fee(2022/2023)£30 relocation fee (2024/2025). The fee is used to cover the artist's time and inconvenience to pack away and set up their equipment.

5d. In some circumstances, depending on locations that are more than 2 hours away, these may be subject to an overnight stay, at which the costs are chargeable to the client. Arrangements must be made in advance.

LOCATION

6a. It is the client's responsibility to provide clear information so that we can find your preparation location.

6b. If the location is rural or hard to find, please send us some directions or some landmarks to look out for. If your house number or name is not visible in darkness by the roadside, please consider marking with balloons to help suppliers locate you.

6c. If you are staying overnight in a larger hotel, Manor House, or stately home, it will be useful to know your exact location or room number and to inform the reception which room your bridal preparation will be in as there may be many rooms booked with the same surnames at a family wedding.

6d. We cannot be held responsible for any delays beyond our control, including weather conditions, acts of God, etc. If you have noticed any recent issues or possible delays with traveling to your preparation location (road works, flood, accident, adverse weather conditions, misleading sat-nav, diversion, etc) please drop us a message to inform us so we can set off earlier if required.

6e. If the mobile phone reception is poor at the preparation venue/ location, please ensure that you have provided us with a landline number in case we need to contact you.

6f. If you are getting ready at your family home, it is very useful to send us a photo of the house from the roadside so we know what to look for, especially if the house number or name cannot be seen from the roadside.

6g. Location of service for the day-of-event will be at the discretion of the client, but there are certain requirements the artist needs to complete the services. A large setup table/work area needs to be made available for the makeup artist at said location. Working electrical outlets must also be made available for use by the artist. Ample lighting, ideally by means of natural light is advisable for services & your photography to be performed to a high standard. A high chair or bar stool is requested but not necessary. Please let us know if a chair cannot be provided.

MULTIPLE PREPARATION LOCATIONS

7a. Many venues enforce time restrictions on your use of their bridal suites, dressing rooms & do not allow access to their premises until a certain time. This often isn’t enough time to get everyone ready in adequate timing, especially in a relaxed manner. We would STRONGLY recommend that the clients with this predicament opt for an alternative preparation location that fits their schedule and bridal party service requirements. OR discuss with us the possibility of an additional artist to support the tight timeline. We take no responsibility if these restrictions do not allow a realistic time schedule for your preparations.

7b. It is not advisable to have multiple preparation locations as setting up, packing up & travel for you, your bridal party, and our team will cause disruptions and possible delays to the wedding morning. If you do wish to get ready in multiple locations, this may incur an additional surcharge of time & travel, that is covered in points 5 a,b,c and d.

7c. It is not advisable to have multiple preparation rooms within one location as this disrupts consecutive service and can cause delay on your special day. ie moving from one room to a bridal suite. we advise that you only use the bridal suite for touch ups/ dressing and photography, keeping a clear and beautiful backdrop for your photos.

DISCOUNTS

11a.Prices are non-negotiable.

11b. Our rates are competitive with other qualified, experienced, insured, and registered makeup & hair companies. We do appreciate the costs involved when organising a wedding and everyone has very different priorities and budgets. Despite this fact, we don’t believe it is fair to discount to some clients and not others so we offer all our clients the same competitive rates. If we offered to you a discount, this would not be fair to our other clients and would damage our price integrity and devalue the first-rate service we offer.

11c. There is no discount if you do not need or want any of the complementary services included in the packages - for example no time for a trial, last minute bookings, and international brides. Nor is there a discount for no brow shape or if false lashes are not required, as we include these complementary services as they can enhance the look if they are required.

11d. There is no discount for partial services ( i.e. eyes only etc). We don’t offer this option as good makeup is about balance and harmony throughout the whole face.

11e. There is no discount for reduced numbers on the wedding day. Once they are agreed, at the time of the trial and given on your bridal form, your schedule of artists will be based around your needs.

PRICING & PAYMENTS

12a. We are upfront with all of all our prices. As stated in point 11a. prices are non-negotiable.

12b. Prices & charges do not vary for different styles, hair length, texture, techniques used etc - just a fair flat rate worked out on approximate timings per person. All our prices are worked out on timings, the number of clients, services requested, assistants needed, not on specific styles wanted. Although product & colour choice and application techniques may differ from a natural look to a glam look, they both use premium products, similar time & attention to detail.

12c. The price you pay will be the current price at the time when you return the 'Save The Date' form and your date is secured when the requested deposit is received, not the price when you make the initial enquiry as prices & policies are subject to change.

12d. Any amendment to your packages will require rebooking and may be subject to a price increase, packages, and policy at the time of the amendment, not at the original booking date.

12e. The artist's fee will be payable by the Client, in accordance with the terms set out on the invoice.

12f. Prices & packages are subject to change each year and will be updated on our website.

20b. PAT testing is not a legal requirement but we do regularly have our appliances PAT tested.

20c. We strongly advise that all of our clients obtain the relevant wedding insurance. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and purchase a wedding insurance policy prior to booking & securing deposits with your wedding venue and suppliers. Please notify us at this time if you have chosen to go against our guidance and not take out the necessary wedding insurance. Sadly occasionally things do go wrong and wedding insurance provides essential financial protection. Otherwise, you will be held fully responsible for any costs incurred and invoiced for this payment due despite the circumstances for cancellation or rearrangement.

21d. If your wedding date is cancelled and you submit a claim to your insurance provider, it is fraud to then ask for financial compensation from your suppliers or to forgo your invoices. If we believe this is the case, we will report this to the relevant authorities.

21e. Any claim that you make we will make every effort to support your claim. subject to details.

21f. The Bridal by Team Elite is an agency representing a team of carefully selected freelance hair stylists and makeup artists. We will manage the booking process until the deposit is made. Our stylists are freelance and are not directly employed by Ruth. They act independently of us once the booking is made. All stylists have their own insurance.

TEAM

22a. Each member of the team is a freelance artist in their own right therefore responsible for their own independent business, so considered a third party.

22b. We will not be liable for any third-party supplier. The performance of these suppliers is beyond the control of our artists. Whilst we do everything to lead by example, train, and mentor the team to deliver the highest standards of artistry and service, should a problem arise we will do everything we can to rectify them but cannot accept responsibility for the unsatisfactory performance of a third party supplier.

22c. Any cause for complaint must be reported to the Agency by the client as soon as it arises. Complaints cannot be considered and/or dealt with effectively after the services have been delivered.

SUSTENANCE

23a. For bookings where we are there more than 4 hours, the provision of water or soft drinks would be much appreciated.

23b. If you have chosen to extend your package with an evening change of look, the provision of food for each artist would be appreciated.

EXCLUSIVITY

24a Exclusivity Clause: In the event that you have reserved a hair and makeup package, it is imperative that the Bridal By team serve as the exclusive hair and makeup artists for the booking. If you have reserved a makeup-only package, it is necessary that the Bridal By makeup artists are the exclusive makeup artists for the booking. Similarly, if you have booked a hair-only package, it is essential that the Bridal By hair stylists are the exclusive stylists for the booking.
The enforcement of our exclusivity clause is motivated by various factors, including the unauthorized use of our work by other artists, bridesmaid artists, or suppliers, as well as the potential misattribution of credit. Furthermore, this stipulation is designed to address spatial constraints and associated liability concerns related to health and safety, as there is insufficient room for multiple artists/stylists stations and kits. Additionally, it is intended to uphold the high standards of artistry, hygiene, and professionalism established by the Bridal By code, which may not be consistently adhered to by other artists. Conflict may also arise pertaining to scheduling and the allocation of service slots. Consequently, for these reasons, we explicitly declare that Bridal By is the exclusive provider of the services you have booked.
We will be accompanied by our assistants or teams to ensure that the makeup/hair team functions cohesively, thereby manifesting a harmonious look that aligns with the bride's specifications.
