Makeup Lessons and Masterclasses
We offer both group and personal one-on-one lessons. Each lesson is completely tailored to you and what you would like to learn during this time. Whether it is just an everyday look, or more evening glam, this makes for the perfect gift! The application of makeup is all about confidence, the feeling it installs when you get it right. A makeup lesson will not only educate you in the art of application but will also enable you to feel more comfortable and confident when choosing and buying makeup in the future.
One to One Makeup lessons
We will advise & devise a structured lesson around your requirements, your hair colour, unique features, skin tone & texture. Sharing our professional tips and tricks, together we will explore the art of make-application using various techniques, professional tools and premium products to create the look of your choice.
During the make-up lesson we will show you how to apply professional make-up completely from start to finish. I the artist, will guide you through each process, enabling you to become competent in each step, the Artist will work on half of your face, showing you step-by-step and you will work on the other half. We will provide you with advice on skin care, make-up application, facial structure, colour theory and product selection. Throughout we will give you the low down on the latest & greatest products & beauty trends. Learn how to carve out cheekbones, create beautiful highlights to enhance the shape & structure of your face using face mapping makeup You will finish your lesson with both the skills and confidence to apply your makeup and looking fabulous, you will also go home with a list of recommended products specifically suited for your features and skin type.

We also offer one to one sessions for aspiring makeup artists who want to learn and develop their skills. For this option we will provide a model for the application so you can learn in depth the step by step process as well as gaining the experience of working on another individual as you would a client.
Your Teachers
Ruth and Lian are award-winning makeup & hair artists based in Worcestershire in the Midlands with over 15-20 years international experience, specialising in beauty, bridal & commercial makeup & hair.
A professional MUA is someone that has undergone formal training and holds a regulated and recognised qualification. Ruth has completed a Foundation Degree in Makeup Artistry & hair and have level 5 in Diploma in teaching and have taught media makeup on both college and university courses. In addition, I won a national makeup competition was privileged to attend an advanced makeup artistry course in Los Angeles taught by top Hollywood MUAs. I have also trained retail artists for prestigious cosmetic companies. I continue to learn new skills I completed micro blading training with the leading academy Phi.
Lian also trained along side Ruth and has over 15 years experience in the industry lian has not only worked on weddings she has worked internationally on editorial work, catwalk, celebrities & special events. Lian has a degree in Media Makeup and Hair, accredited ,insured incredibly talented artist.
Prices
1 look, lesson duration 2hrs, £150. Ruth or Lian will show you how to recreate your favourite look and learn your own face.
Day to night lesson, duration 3hrs, £200. Ruth or Lian will show you how to create one flattering daytime look then how to adapt this into evening both tailored to enhance your best features.
In-depth Bridal lesson, 4hrs duration, £250 perfect for a client getting married abroad or a bride to be who wishes to have the control of doing her own face for her wedding day whilst getting it right with professional guidance.
Mua lesson 4hrs duration, £350. Whether you are just starting out in makeup or an experienced professional who struggles with a particular element, these lessons can be built into a course of 4 lessons for £1200. Models can be provided and photos will be taken to document your process.
