ABOUT THE ARTIST
Katie is a fun, bubbly, and kind hearted soul who has a thoughtful approach when it comes to her clients. Her beauty intuition and ability to understand you and your feelings, paired with her calm, caring, unassuming nature, gives every bride a feeling of safety and reassurance to ensure that they made the right decision when picking her wedding day artist.
Beauty background
Katie studied level 3 Theatrical and Media Hair and Makeup artistry and qualified back in 2007. Katie's talents and professionalism shone as a student, so much so she was actually asked to return and teach on the course herself. Since then, she went on to become a retail artist for Prestigious luxury cosmetics brands such as Lancôme, Benefit, La prairie , Bare Minerals and worked as Chanel's lead makeup specialist for 6 and a half years. Working as one Chanel top artists gave Katie the opportunity to train under some top fashion makeup artists such as Sharon Dowset (Vogue) and Gina Kane (Harper’s Bizarre). Katie is a published HMUA herself, with her work featuring in magazines, graced runways , high profile events and films. She ran a team of pro makeup artists at Selfridges, specifically focusing on Katie’s passion, which is as a complexion specialist. After having her son, she decided to go fully freelance to purpose her dream of helping brides with their hair & makeup for their special days, to be radiant and feel amazing. Working with a client to create a bridal vision together, Katie is also a confident bridal hair specialist. Katie continues to grow and up skill which makes her an incredible addition to the Bridal By team. She has attended formal bridal training with Faye Cornhill and course with Lisa Alger (award winning bridal hair specialist) so she can continue to learn and become a stronger artist.

“My favourite makeup product right now is Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter. It’s a great multi-purpose product. It can be used on its own, just to create a gorgeous evened out glowy, no makeup makeup base. Mixed with foundation to add a radiant dewy finish or used on top of foundation as a highlight to catch the light on the parts of the face you want add illumination to.”

I pride myself on creating looks that enhance my clients features. I'm a firm believer that makeup should bring out an already existing confidence in a person and hair should just compliment and frame the face. Both should never take away the natural beauty of the person.”
