We believe your Preview should feel considered, collaborative and completely personal. Because the best bridal looks begin with feeling understood. Your Preview questions, answered below.

PREVIEW FAQ'S
What happens at my Bridal Preview?
Your Preview is a relaxed, one-to-one appointment where we create and refine your bridal hair and makeup look from start to finish.
We begin by talking through your brief and the details that matter to you. Then your artist brings that vision to life, explaining their recommendations and encouraging your feedback throughout.
You’ll have time to see the finished look, photograph it, and make any adjustments together. We want you to feel comfortable saying, “I love this,” “Could we soften that?” or “I’m not sure about this part.”
That open honest conversation is part of the artistry. Your artist is there to guide you, not simply apply a look and hope it works.
Because some bridal styles require intricate work and careful refinement, we dedicate the appointment to creating and perfecting your chosen look rather than rushing through several unrelated styles. The aim is to leave you with a beautifully considered result—and the confidence that it has been created with you in mind.
Will my bridal hair and makeup be completely personalised?
Absolutely.
We take a couture approach to bridal beauty. There is no one-look-fits-all at Bridal by Artists, and we never believe you should have to change your personal style to fit a trend.
Your Preview is built around your brief, your features and the way you want to feel. Whether you love soft, luminous makeup, a more defined editorial finish, romantic waves or an elegant updo, we work with you to create something that feels beautifully, unmistakably yours.
Just as your wedding dress is fitted to you, your hair and makeup should be too.
How long is a Bridal Preview appointment?
We allow up to two hours for makeup-only or hair-only Previews, and up to four hours for combined hair and makeup.
That time is intentional. A bridal look deserves more than a rushed application and a quick glance in the mirror.
We want you to have the space to talk, explore, refine and feel confident in what you’re choosing. Our artists dedicate their attention to your appointment, so you can enjoy the process without feeling hurried.
Your Preview is time invested in feeling completely confident on your wedding morning.
Where does my Bridal Preview take place?
Your Preview takes place at your lead artists studio.
We’ll share everything you need to know about your appointment, including the address, arrival information and any preparation details, before your Preview.
If you have any questions about the location or accessibility, your concierge will be happy to help.
How should I prepare for my Bridal Preview?
A little preparation helps us make the most of your appointment.
What to wear
A white or light-coloured top is ideal, preferably with a neckline similar to your wedding dress. If possible, choose something that won’t need to go over your head afterwards, so your hair and makeup stay intact.
If you’ve booked a makeup-only Preview, styling your hair in a way that feels similar to your wedding-day plans can also help you see the overall look more clearly.
What to do
Arrive with a clean face and clean, dry hair, ideally washed the day before.
If you’re considering lash or brow treatments, we recommend having them done in advance rather than on the day itself. If you’re planning to wear a tan for your wedding, it’s helpful to attend your Preview with it already applied, so your makeup can be tailored to your actual skin tone.
We also recommend having any facial hair removal and brow grooming completed beforehand, so your artist can work with your skin as it will be on the day.
What to bring
Bring any hair accessories, veil, jewellery or hair extensions you’re planning to wear. These details help your artist understand how everything will work together.
You’re also welcome to bring one trusted person who understands your vision and whose opinion you value. We recommend keeping the group small, so the appointment remains calm, personal and focused on you.
And, of course, your completed pre-Preview questionnaire, which helps us prepare for your appointment in advance.
What if I want to change something during my Preview?
That’s exactly what your Preview is for.
We want you to feel comfortable sharing what you love and what you’d like to adjust. Your artist will encourage your feedback throughout the appointment, so we can refine the look together.
Whether it’s a softer lip, a different eye finish, more volume in your hair or a small change to the overall shape, we’ll work through it with you.
The best bridal looks are created collaboratively.
What happens after my Preview?
Once your look has been created and refined, we’ll photograph and film it to see how it translates on camera.
Your artist will make any final adjustments needed, and once you’re happy, everything is documented on your face chart and in your artist’s notes.
This includes the products, placement and techniques used, so your wedding-day look can be recreated as accurately as possible.
We’ll also share any relevant photos or videos from your session, along with mood boards for your bridal party where appropriate.
From there, we’ll send your wedding-morning schedule, confirmation and invoice, so you know exactly what happens next.
Your Preview is not just about how you look—it’s about creating the confidence and clarity that carry you into your wedding morning.
How do I book my Bridal Preview?
Once your Retainer has been paid and your artist is confirmed, they will directly arrange your Preview date with you
We’ll make sure you have everything you need to prepare, including your questionnaire and any guidance from your artist.
Your Preview is included within your Experience, so there’s no additional cost to book it.
Why is a Bridal Preview so important?
Because your wedding morning should feel exciting—not uncertain.
Your Preview gives you the opportunity to see your hair and makeup, make any adjustments, and feel confident that your artist understands exactly what you want.
It also gives your artist the chance to get to know you, your preferences and your vision, so they can recreate your look with care and precision on the day.
It’s the foundation of a calm, confident wedding morning—and one of the most valuable parts of your bridal beauty experience.
Does everyone in my bridal party need a Preview?
Your Bridal Preview is the essential one.
Most bridal party members won’t need an individual Preview, but they can be arranged if someone has particular preferences, sensitive skin or simply wants extra reassurance.
Your concierge can help you decide what’s right for your group, and your artist will have the opportunity to understand everyone’s needs through your pre-Preview questionnaire and planning process. Full pricing details are listed on The Investment Page.
