Based in Worcestershire, in the heart of the Midlands, Ruth is a highly accomplished makeup artist and hair stylist with over 20 years of international experience. She specialises in beauty, bridal, and commercial work, bringing a unique blend of creativity, precision, and passion to every client she works with.
Ruth’s journey into the world of makeup artistry began with a foundation in fine art and illustration, followed by a successful career as a fashion model. It was during this time that she found herself captivated by the artistry happening behind the scenes. A transformative moment came when she experienced a makeup session with the legendary Japanese artist Shu Uemura—an encounter that sparked her decision to pursue her true passion professionally.
Since earning her qualifications in 1997, Ruth has continued to refine her skills and deepen her expertise. She trained alongside industry icons, assisting renowned British makeup artist Ruby Hammer MBE and collaborating with celebrated hair stylist Patrick Cameron. In 2005, Ruth’s talent was nationally recognised when she won a prestigious competition with cosmetics brand Stila, earning her a place at an exclusive advanced training in Los Angeles with Hollywood artists Jeanine Lobell, Sarah Lucero, and Shawn Peltier.
Today, Ruth is known for her warm approach, exceptional artistry, and ability to make her clients feel confident, radiant, and truly seen.
